I made these vanilla and lemon cupcakes for a dear friend and her new husband for their wedding.
The top tier is a Madiera cake, the flavour her Grandma always liked to bake.

I’ve given my website a little tidy up – there are now easier links to my textile art, paper craft, cake and marketing activities. https://creativityonline.co.uk/
This new front page image brings all my creative ventures together.
My Etsy shops Paper Roses Shop and Felted Embroidered Art have both been updated with new products.
Do pop by and check it out when you have a moment!
I am studying ferns at the moment. I saw have been thinking about them ever since I saw a display at the Chatsworth flower show. Totally beautiful – robust yet delicate, with amazing colours and strong shapes.
I am felting and embroidering new work in this theme – more news to follow…
I made these bespoke cakes for the last rehearsal this term of Nottingham Youth Voices and Junior Voices.

Cakes & singing = match made in heaven!

Exciting news!
My massive appliqué work ‘Lace Market’ has been accepted for the University Summer Exhibition. Can’t wait to get feedback from a wider audience!
July 13th to 27th @ Djanogly Gallery, Nottingham.
Postscript..
The great news is, the picture SOLD on the second day, to a mystery buyer From Mapperley. I am beyond excited. There’s more work in this vein coming soon!
After all the Art Trail work, I am now looking forward. I will be seeking little lightbulb moments to illuminate the creative path ahead.
And having a bit of a rest.
I’ll be back to blogging in July.

Tidying up now from the ABC Art Trail. What a wonderful weekend!
THANKS to all the visitors – we reckon more than 350 – amazing given the difficult weather on Sunday.
THANKS for all the interest in my work and supportive comments – it means so much.
THANKS for all the purchases, people were very generous.
The highlights:

The garden is looking lovely – it is filled with textures and shades of green. Pretty weeds and a wild lawn have been encouraged and embraced!
We’re all ready for the ABC Art Trail next weekend, looking forward to welcoming many people to enjoy our art, and chill over a goodie from the Nice Lolly Company.
I recently made two bridesmaid bouquets and some matching buttonholes for a customer via my Etsy shop PaperRosesShop.
I normally put these orders in the post but was delighted to meet the customer in person this time when he came to collect from Burton.
