I’ve made a few of these for the ABC Art Trail.
They are amazingly head-turning – even though made from baking parchment, toothpicks and kebab sticks!
I’ll be running a workshop on how to make them at the popular Adult Crafts sessions at the Beeston Canalside Heritage Centre later in the year.

I made a set of cakes for Sylvia’s 90th birthday last week.
The brief was: Playing card themed; Personal; Quirky and Delicious – tick tick tick tick!
It has been a pleasure to return to highly bespoke cake-making, in between my other creative work.
This is shaping up to be a great weekend – with the whole team of 30 artists pulling together to make an eclectic, entertaining and exciting spectacle in Attenborough, Beeston and Chilwell.

One of a series of wild flower field felted artworks…
These depict what I see in the edges of the meadows at Haddon Hall.
A beautiful textural depth of greens with little pops of petal highlights.
The recently created dandelions survived the trip down to West Sussex and became the centrepieces for a gorgeous wedding.
We think they look rather uniquely special!
I will be exhibiting a new collection of felt landscapes at the ABC Art Trail this year, on 1st and 2nd June.
I love the painterly qualities of felting and embroidery and as you can see I’m still in a colourful frame of mind!

One recent customer from Staffordshire wanted to combine the lyrics of Beautiful Boy by John Lennon with pictures of the newborn, for a Mother’s Day present.
I used the lyrics on the inside, in different text sizes, and the pictures on the bottom of the roses. A very nice effect!
My very first felt customers got in touch got in touch over the weekend to let me know they had reframed the picture with a green frame and behind a non reflective glass.
They generously sent me pictures of the enhanced artwork in situ.
As a new and developing artist, it makes me feel quite GIDDY that someone is enjoying my work every day!
