Christmas baubles

Before everyone puts their old Christmas cards away…

I am running a Christmas bauble making session at Monday night Adult Crafts at the Beeston Heritage Canalside tonight. Should be fun!

Working with Matt Turner artist

Matt paints amazing pictures of rockets, retrotech items and post soviet futurism themes.

I have recently been helping Matt with his website design, blogging and Instagram posts to increase the visibility of his fantastic work.

Christmas biscuits

An annual event – spend hours making piles of Christmas biscuits for the East of England Singer’s Christmas concert, and enjoy watching them being demolished in 10 minutes by an enthusiastic audience during the interval!

Christmas bics 2

Our ‘Globetrotting Christmas’ concert this weekend at St John’s Carrington was hard work and absolutely beautiful in equal measure.

Ancient tree

My latest felted embroidery work – Ancient Tree.

I displayed this in public without a glass frontage and it attracted a lot of interest. The texture, colours and intricacy of the embroidery were very visible.

I will be experimenting with new ways of displaying in 2019. Watch this space!

Christmas tree bunting

This is my favourite thing I made for Christmas this year!

3D padded Christmas Tree bunting made with muted greens. red and brown fabrics – linen, harris tweed, velvet, crinkled, patterned and hand trimmed on folded red ribbon. Impeccable finish. Will last for years!

There are still a few left on my Etsy site, FeltedEmbroideredArt HERE

Do go ahead if you fancy…costs will be refunded to people able to collect from me in Nottingham.

Christmas Art and Craft Fair

Do come along to this if you have time next weekend.

The Lanes Primary School, Meadow Lane, NG9 5AA.

I will be there with new felted/embroidered artwork, bespoke Christmas cards and decorations and gingerbread Santas!

There will be several other ABCAT artists in attendance selling a variety of jewellery, glass, stained glass and paintings. Lots of inspiration and gift buying opportunities.

Saturday 17th Nov 10am to 5pm. Sunday 18th Nov 10am to 4pm.

Hope to see you there!

Quince Jelly part 2

Amazing! I turned all my quinces into Quince Jelly, which is now on sale at the top notch greengrocer Hallam‘s on Beeston High Street. They sold half the stock last weekend!

It is also featuring on the cheeseboard in renowned vegetarian cafe Café Roya.

A bit of an adventure – well worth a bit of effort!

Customers are in for a treat – I remember when I first tasted it! A unique experience.
