I’m very excited about being selected for the Attenborough, Beeston and Chilwell Art Trail (ABCAT) again this year.

Now in its 10th year, the Committee organised an exhibition at the Nottingham Society of Artists in May 2025 and this gave the artists a chance to meet and see each others work – impossible on the Trail. We were very well supported by lots of visitors and sales and I was interviewed by Notts TV.

I continue to be influenced by my trip to Kerala, India in 2024. I am finding more sunshine in my hand embroidery work.
My ‘Sunshine’ series sold out at the 2024 Art Trail!

I am now studying for a City & Guild in hand embroidery and I am enjoying exploring the seemingly endless possibilities of unfamiliar techniques such as Goldwork, Canvaswork and experimental Hand quilting.

In 2025 I will be presenting a different methodology for my vintage crochet resin bowls – watch this space! Very pleased with the new development here.
Also back to my roots of hand embroidery on wet felted backgrounds. I love depicting beautiful natural scenes using these techniques and delicate wild flowers and ferns.
I will be showing work at my first exhibition with the Living Threads Group at Canalside Heritage Centre, Beeston during October 2025.

Once again I will be participating in the ABCAT Winter Fair at St Johns. Beeston on 15th November. This was a fabulous event last year with major support from the townspeople.
I will be rounding off as part of a Nottingham city centre arts/crafts event at Waterstones on 29th and 30th November.
Then looking forward to a major exhibition with the Living Threads at the Nottingham Society of Artists in Summer 2026.
Hope to see you around!
